Ellie + Patrick // Long Island, NY

Ellie and Patrick were married at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock in Manhasset, New York. Loved ones gathered two days after Christmas for a ceremony filled with heartfelt vows, followed by a celebration at Larkfield. What I loved most about this wedding day was how the couple honored aspects of their past and present which brought them together. This included not only a music filled ceremony, but shades of turquoise; a tribute to Ellie's home state of New Mexico. Also, look for the chili pepper in the bride's bouquet and on the reception tables!

Thank you to the entire wedding team!

Lauren + Andrew // New York City

Every wedding I have the privilege of capturing is unique, which is one of the many reasons I love the work that I do. Lauren and Andrew were married in an intimate ceremony at St. James' Church in Manhattan, New York. A place near and dear to their heart, St. James' Church provided not only a meaningful, but stunning background for their commitment to one another. To celebrate their love, Lauren and Andrew headed to Dumbo Spot in Brooklyn to not only dance the night away but eat pizza with family and friends! What I loved most about their wedding day was that the details were focused on loved ones. I couldn't think of a better way to start a life together. Congratulations you two!

Jessica + Rob // The Crescent Beach Club

I first met Jessica and Rob when I was asked by Rob to capture his marriage proposal. The big moment occurred during a snowy morning in Fort Greene, Brooklyn with a surprise appearance by friends and fifteen french bulldogs! Since I'm sure you're now curious about the details of this adorable proposal, you should check out this article by Huffington Post Weddings which featured the event and even included two photos of mine!

There is no denying the connection between this vibrant couple. It was an honor to photograph their wedding day, which included many personal, creative details such as a hand drawn record of their guests, and the incorporation of their parents' wedding photos. Together, these two tore up the dance floor, and created a celebration I know them, as well as friends and family will cherish forever. Many thanks to The Crescent Beach Club and second photographer Ruby Tull for seamlessly bringing all aspects of the day together. Congratulations Jessica and Rob!

Elisa + Cliff // Avalon, NJ

Summer might have been over, but on a gorgeous day in October, Elisa and Cliff were married at the oceanfront Golden Inn Hotel in Avalon, New Jersey. Their feet in the sand, intimate ceremony was filled with loved ones who came from near and far to celebrate the couple. A joyous day at the shore!

Lisha + Caldwell // Chappaqua, NY

Lisha and Caldwell were married at a family home in stunning Chappaqua, New York. It was a perfect way to begin the Fall season, with gorgeous surroundings, and loved ones who travelled near and far to celebrate (with plenty of dancing on the tennis court). Full of personal touches, natural details, and heartfelt sentiments, it was a wonderful wedding day for all, including myself, who has known Lisha since childhood. I feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of the day, and know there is nothing but a beautiful future in store for this creative, kind couple. Congratulations!!

Thank you, as always, to the wonderful wedding team!

Lauren + Jake // Ravenswood Event Center

Where do I begin? Lauren and Jake made so many hearts happy on their wedding day, including mine. I first met Lauren and Jake through my work at The Glimmerglass Festival, where Jake is Technical Director, and Lauren is Assistant Wardrobe Manager. If you know them, they're incredibly genuine, kind, fun-loving, dedicated individuals. Thus, it didn't surprise me that their wedding was a heartfelt celebration of everything they are and more. Congratulations, you two. Thank you for having me capture the start of your life together.

Thank you to all the wedding contributors!

Leah & Alex // West Side Jewish Center

Being asked to document the wedding of someone you have known since you were eight years old is a very special and meaningful request. Leah contacted me this summer and I am incredibly happy I was able to photograph the start of her and Alex's life together.

I can easily sum up their wedding in three words: love, laughter, and dancing!

A big thank you to my second photographer Cherylynn Tsushima, who joyfully danced the night away with her camera to capture some great moments.

Event // Morningside Lights Annual Procession

This year the Miller Theatre at Columbia University presented the 2nd annual Morningside Lights, a weeklong project which invites the community to participate in a series of workshops that teach how to create handmade lanterns and musical instruments to be used in a procession of public art at the end of the week.

It was fantastic to capture the process from start to finish, and I was blown away by the artistry of all involved!
